When do you not have to have a certificate?
When the building is subject to protection under the regulations on the protection and care of monuments.
When the building is used as a place of worship and for religious activities.
If the building is a detached property with a usable area of less than 50 square meters.
As long as the building is intended for use no longer than 4 months a year.
If the industrial and commercial building is not equipped with energy-consuming installations, with the exception of built-in lighting.
What if there is no certificate?
If you do not have a certificate of energy performance when renting or selling a property, you risk a fine - up to PLN 5 thousand.
The notary’s instruction about the sanction will be included in any notarial deed for which a certificate will not be provided.
